Our Programs
A Hudson Coachworks build is designed for the adventurous—those who dare to make their mark with something truly unique. Whether it’s the thoroughbred Signature Series, the rugged Expedition or the Classic, these machines stand apart from the crowd with quiet confidence. Seamlessly blending inconspicuous style and refined luxury.
In Development
Unlike our love for Range Rovers, some components haven't stood the test of time and are becoming harder and harder to source. So we are taking it into our own hands to recreate and produce components to help us with our builds as well as for you on your journey too.

Design
From the outset, one of our most persistent frustrations at Hudson Coachworks has been the limited availability of high-quality interior components—those small but impactful pieces that make or break a vehicle’s feel. We deeply appreciate the simplistic, rugged charm of the vintage Range Rovers, yet many of their interior plastics feel inexpensive and deteriorate with time.
Our mission is to reimagine vehicles that don’t just endure, they become heirloom-quality. That means selecting or manufacturing components that match the timeless appeal of the exterior with equally enduring quality inside.

Development
Another persistent thorn in the side of Range Rover Classic owners emerges during off-road adventures—sometimes the upper tailgate inexplicably pops open mid-drive. While worn latches, slight misalignment, or rough terrain can contribute to the issue, the real culprit lies deeper: the factory design places the load entirely on the latch, as the gas struts apply constant upward pressure.
To address this, Hudson Coachworks introduced a clever mechanical fix: the Billet Strut Relocation Block. This component repositions the gas strut so that the force when the tailgate is closed shifts from positive pressure toward neutral—or even slightly negative—reducing strain on the latch and helping ensure the tailgate stays firmly shut, even when the road gets rough.

Frequently Asked Questions
We are here to help you on this journey and would love to hear about your vision. Below are a couple of questions we get asked often, but do not hesitate to reach out.
Where are you located?
We’re located on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia – a region known for its laid-back pace, coastal landscapes, and appreciation of craftsmanship. It’s a setting that perfectly complements our style: classic vehicles reimagined with patience, precision, and a balance between rugged adventure and refined detail. While we’re tucked away from the bustle of the city, our builds travel far and wide, carrying a piece of the South Coast spirit with them.
How do I explore options and pricing for a build?
Every project we build is tailored, so rather than a one-size-fits-all price list, we start with a conversation. We’ll talk through your goals, how you want to use the vehicle, and the details that matter most to you. From there, we’ll outline the options and stages, giving you a clear understanding of what’s involved before moving forward. It’s less about an off-the-shelf product and more about shaping something that feels like yours from day one.
Any question?
We know every project sparks its own set of questions — that’s part of the journey. Whether you’re curious about the build process, timelines, or just want to explore ideas, we’re always happy to chat. Reach out and we’ll walk you through it, no pressure — just an honest conversation about what’s possible.
