Where our passion for Range Rovers began and where it continues to drive us.
The Journey of Hudson Coachworks is epitomised by Endak’s Range Rover - over a decade of exploration, rigorous testing and personal dedication. It represents the company’s core ethos: “Engineered for luxury, Built for Exploration.” this philosophy drives Hudson Coachworks to create vehicles that excel where roads end, signals fade, and true adventures begin.

Building a car for travel and adventure has always been a lifelong dream of mine, and I’ve been a fan of classic British off-roaders ever since laying eyes on my father’s Range Rover when i first arrived in Australia at the age of six. As far back as i can remember, I’ve been absolutely mad about Range Rovers and have since spent much of the last two decades buying, touring, modifying and restoring Range Rovers."
— Endak Hudson

Where it all began
Circumnavigating Australia
Hudson Coachworks was founded in 2020 by Endak Hudson, driven by his love of engineering and adventure. Fresh out of university, Endak set off to circumnavigate Australia in his 1982 2-door Range Rover with his Kelpie pup, Zila. Facing the challenges of a global pandemic and the harsh outback, the journey inspired his dream of creating vehicles built for extreme conditions. Upon his return, Endak restored and reimagined his Range Rover from the ground up, sparking the birth of Hudson Coachworks.
Relocating to Darwin, Endak devoted thousands of hours to that very same Range Rover—stripping it back to bare metal galvanising its structure for longegivity and rebuilding it piece by piece. What emerged wasn’t just a restoration, but a new beginning: a vehicle that carried its heritage proudly while being rebuilt for the road ahead.

Trust in the process
The First Signature
The rebirth of the first Signature Series Range Rover marked a defining moment for Hudson Coachworks. After documenting the restoration of his own Range Rover on YouTube, Endak was approached by a customer who wanted a two-door Range Rover powered by a 6.2L supercharged V8. At the time, he was working full-time as an engineer, but after moving from Darwin, he built a small shed back home—a space to tinker on vehicles inspired by his travels. There, he began the project part-time, determined to show what was possible under the Hudson Coachworks name.
Every afternoon and evening was spent building the vehicle from the ground up. Within a few months, it became clear that this was more than a side project—it was an opportunity. An opportunity to step away from a steady job and chase a dream. And so, Hudson Coachworks truly began.

Time for growth
The New Quarters
As Hudson Coachworks transitioned into a full-time venture, the small shed Endak had built on the family farm soon proved too limited. It wasn’t big enough to run full-scale projects or house all the tools needed to complete every build in-house. Meanwhile, interest in the workshop grew—people from across Australia and around the world were reaching out, drawn by the new builds and restorations showcased online.
The opportunity to expand was thrilling—but also daunting. Moving to a larger space, taking on greater responsibilities, and investing in new equipment carried real risks. Yet, driven by the vision of what Hudson Coachworks could become, Endak embraced the challenge. He expanded the workshop, welcomed new talent, and built a team passionate about restoring and reimagining classic vehicles.
